Hydrant Flushing Schedule

Hydrant flushing takes place in late April, early May and then again in September.  Road signs are posted around town notifying residents of this occurring.  Hydrant flushing takes about one week to complete.

Water & Sewer Rates

Water and Sewer rates are set by the Board of Selectmen and fund their respective enterprise funds.  Enterprise funds are established for both water and sewer.  These funds are established in an effort to direct the costs of water and sewer service to the users of these services.  Therefore, the rates are reflective of the actual costs of these services.

Water Rates:  $3.55 per 100 cubic feet

Sewer Rates:  $4.70 per 100 cubic feet

Note: One cubic foot of water equals 7.48 gallons. 

Water Ban

The town's water ban is still in effect.  This an "odd/even" water ban.  Outside water usage (lawns, gardens, car washing) is limited based on the number home you reside.  If you live in an odd numbered home, you may conduct outside watering on odd numbered days only.  Likewise, if you live in an even numbered home, you may conduct outside watering on even days only.  Fines for violating the water ban are $25 and up.

Snow Removal Ban

Parking is not allowed on town roads from November 15th to April 15th from 11:00pm to 6:00am.
