Treasurer Service Description: The Treasurer receives and takes charge of all town funds, and pays over to the town’s creditors and employees any bills or payroll checks which are approved by the Board of Selectmen. The Treasurer also invests funds in the Town Treasury to earn the highest rate of return for investments allowable under the law. The Treasurer is sole custodian of and oversees the investment of the Town’s trust funds.

Collector Service Description: The Collector issues all tax bills for Real Estate, Personal Property and Motor Vehicle Excise upon receiving authorization from the Board of Assessors, and issues bills for Water Usage.  The Collector will also, when necessary, enforce the collection of amounts owed to the town by taking collection action allowable under the law.
