Community Development Projects

The Planning & Development department submited a Community Development Block Grant application in early March to fund the reconstruction of Railroad Street and provide monies to support a supplemental fuel assistance program. The town was awarded the 2020CDBG Grant in Decemeber 2020 in the amount of $715,510.00

The work to reconstruct Railroad Street includes new sewer mains, drainage improvements as well as new sidewalks, curbs, street pavement and modification of traffic patterns (partial one way).The fuel assistance program will be the third round of fuel assistance provided to those that exhaust other assistance programs.
