Pearl Drive Roofing, Ventilation, Insulation and Siding Project 2020-001

The Winchendon Housing Authority, the Awarding Authority, invites sealed bids for the Roofing,
Insulation, Siding and Roof Ventilation Systems at Pearl Drive Family Housing for the Winchendon
Housing Authority in Winchendon, Massachusetts, in accordance with the documents prepared by Roy S.
Brown Architects.

The Project consists of: demolition of entire roof structure at two buildings; installation of new
roof trusses and shingle roofing; new batt. insulation in attic space; replacement of existing
vinyl siding.
The work is estimated to cost four hundred thousand dollars ($ 400,000), which includes the cost of
Base Bid plus Alternate No.1.
Bidder selection, procedures and contract awards shall be in conformity with M.G.L. Chapter 149
Section 44A-H. Federal Davis Bacon wage rates must be paid according to wage determination included
in bidding documents.
General bidders must be certified by the Division of Capital Asset Management and Maintenance
(DCAMM) as Prime/General Bidders in the category of General Building Construction and must include
a current DCAMM Prime/General Bidder Certificate of Eligibility and a signed DCAMM Prime/General
Bidder’s Update Statement.
General Bids will be received electronically until 2:00 pm, Thursday, April 02, 2020 and publicly
opened, forthwith.
Filed sub-bids for the trades listed below will be received electronically until 2:00 pm, Thursday,
March 26, 2020 and publicly opened forthwith.
Filed sub-bidders must be DCAMM certified for the trades listed below and must include a current
DCAMM Sub-Bidder Certificate of Eligibility and a signed DCAMM Sub-Bidder’s Update Statement.

General bids and sub bids shall be accompanied by a bid deposit that is not less than five (5%) of
the total bid amount, and made payable to the Winchendon Housing Authority.

Bidders may obtain one full paper bid set from Projectdog for a refundable deposit of fifty dollars
($50.00) made payable to Projectdog in the form of certified check or money order. The full amount
of the deposit will be refunded to all responsive bidders returning the Contract Documents in good
condition within ten (10) days after date of general bid opening. Otherwise, the deposit will
become the property of Projectdog, Inc. Bidders requesting their refundable paper set to be mailed
must supply a non-refundable shipping and handling fee of twenty-five dollars ($25.00) made payable
to Projectdog.
The job site and/or existing building(s) will be available for inspection between 10:00 A.M. and
11:00 A.M. on Wednesday, March 18, 2020. The walk-thru will start in the community building at the
project site.
