Webster Street Parcel Shared-Use Path

Sealed Bids for the construction of the “Webster Street Parcel Shared-Use Path” will be received by the Office of the Town Manager, 109 Front Street, Dept. 1, Winchendon, MA 01475 until 2:00 p.m. local time on April 17, 2024 at which time the Bids received will be publicly opened and read.  Sealed Bids must have outer envelope marked as “Webster Street Parcel Shared-Use Path.”

The work consists of the construction of a ten-foot-wide hot mix asphalt shared-use path with associated clearing and grubbing, signage, wood railing, retaining walls, and lawn repairs. Bids shall be on a unit price basis, as indicated in the Bid Form.

All Bids for this project are subject to the provisions of Massachusetts General Laws Chapter 30, Section 39M as amended. A bid deposit shall be furnished in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders.

Bidding documents may also be examined at the office of Tighe & Bond, Inc., 53 Southampton Road, Westfield, Massachusetts between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, legal holidays excluded.

This Contract contains price adjustments for hot mix asphalt mixes, diesel fuel, and gasoline.

Minimum Wage Rates as determined by the Commissioner of Department of Workforce Development under the provision of the Massachusetts General Laws, Chapter 149, Section 26 to 27D, as amended, apply to this project.  It is the responsibility of the Contractor, before Bid opening, to request if necessary, any additional information on Minimum Wage Rates for those trades people who may be employed for the proposed Work under this Contract.

MassDOT prequalification of contractors is required. The class of work is Highway – Construction, with an estimated value of $475,000.

This project is partially funded by a MassTrails Grant.
