Boston Post Cane Recipient Mr. Adelard Vaine

Selectmen Ward presented the Boston Post Cane and Certificate to Adelard Vaine at the conclusion of the Old Murdock Senior Center Open House on Saturday. The cane presentations, started by the Boston Post in 1909. It is presented to the "Oldest Citizen" of the town. Mr. Vaine who is 99, was presented the cane with his wife Lorraine at his side, along with many family members, and townspeople in attendance. Mr. Vaine is a veteran of two wars - World War II and the Korean War.
