| “Upper Central Street Water Main Replacement Project” | TOWN OF WINCHENDON DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS WINCHENDON, MASSACHUSETTS LEGAL AD Sealed Bids for the construction of the “Town of Winchendon, Upper Central Street Water Main Replacement Project” will be received by the Office of the Town Manager, 109 Front Street, Dept. 1, Winchendon, MA 01475 until 2:00 p.m. local time on August 26, 2024 at which time the Bids received will be publicly opened and read. Sealed Bids must have outer envelope marked as “Town of Winchendon, Upper Central Street Water Main Replacement Project.” The work consists of replacing existing 10-inch cast iron water main with approximately 950 linear feet of new 12-inch ductile iron water main, installation of valves and hydrants, service reconnections, side street reconnections, surface restoration, and abandonment of the existing water main. Alternates include swapping services, hydrants, and side street connections to the existing 12-inch water main. If all alternates are awarded, the existing 6-inch water main will be abandoned. Bids shall be on a unit price basis, as indicated in the Bid Form. All Bids for this project are subject to the provisions of Massachusetts General Laws Chapter 30, Section 39M as amended. A bid deposit of 5% shall be furnished in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. This project is funded by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Community Grant Program. Section 00210 contains the funding program construction contract requirements.
